Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Veridome ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Veridome mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use Veridome. By creating an account or using any feature of the Platform, you:

• Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
• Represent that all registration information you submit is truthful and accurate.
• Agree to maintain the accuracy of such information.
• Your acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy includes your consent to the use of AI-powered features and related data processing as described herein.

Veridome is a two-sided marketplace that connects property owners ("Homeowners") with local service professionals ("Contractors") for repair, renovation, installation, maintenance, and other home and commercial property services.

Veridome is a marketplace only. We do not perform any construction or repair work. We do not employ contractors. Any contract for services is strictly between the Homeowner and the Contractor.

To use most features of Veridome you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current registration information.
• Verify your phone number via OTP (required for account activation).
• Keep your password secure and not share it with others.
• Notify us immediately at support@veridome.app if you suspect unauthorised account access.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

• Job postings must accurately describe the work required. Misleading descriptions may result in account suspension.
• You are responsible for ensuring safe access to your property for the contractor.
• Once you agree to work terms with a contractor, you enter into a direct service agreement with that contractor — not with Veridome.
• Veridome AI estimates are indicative only. Actual costs may vary. You should obtain final quotes directly from contractors.
• You agree to rate and review contractors honestly after work completion.
• You must not post jobs that are illegal, dangerous, or outside the scope of home/commercial property services.

• You must be legally authorised to perform the services you offer in your jurisdiction.
• Contractor profiles must accurately represent your skills, credentials, licenses, insurance status, and service area.
• You agree not to misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or past work.
• Unlocking a homeowner's contact information (via a paid contact-unlock) is for the purpose of discussing the specific job only — it must not be used for unsolicited marketing or shared with third parties.
• Any communication or price discussion with homeowners must reflect a genuine intention to perform the work.
• You are solely responsible for the quality, safety, timeliness, and legality of all services you provide.
• You must carry appropriate liability insurance as required by your local laws.
• Veridome may verify your identity, business registration, or licensing at any time and suspend your account pending verification.
• Contractors required to provide valid business or professional documentation, including licenses or insurance, for verification purposes. Failure to provide accurate information may result in limited access or account restrictions.

Veridome uses Google Gemini AI to analyse uploaded media, classify job types, and generate cost estimates. By using these AI features, you acknowledge:

• AI estimates are approximations based on typical U.S. market rates and visual/text analysis. They are not professional engineering assessments or contractor quotes.
• Estimates may be inaccurate due to image quality, unusual job complexity, regional price variations, or model limitations.
• Veridome expressly disclaims liability for decisions made based solely on AI-generated estimates.
• Media you upload is processed by Google's Generative AI infrastructure in accordance with Google’s data handling policies. Review Google's data policies at policies.google.com.
• AI chat responses are not a substitute for professional advice. Always consult a licensed contractor for safety-critical work (electrical, structural, gas, etc.).
• By using the AI features of the Platform, you expressly consent to the processing of any content you submit (including images, videos, and text queries) by third-party AI service providers solely for the purpose of generating analysis, estimates, and responses.

Contact Unlock Fees: Contractors pay a one-time fee per job to reveal homeowner details. These fees are non-refundable once the homeowner information has been displayed.

All prices are listed in USD and exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Veridome reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or contractor profiles.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through any platform communication channel.
• Attempt to bypass platform fees by arranging work outside of Veridome after making contact through the platform.
• Upload illegal content, malware, or material that violates intellectual property rights.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract data from the Platform.
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the Platform.
• Impersonate any person, business, or entity.
• Engage in any form of discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, or sexual orientation.
• Use the emergency reporting feature frivolously or for non-genuine emergencies.
• Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the Platform or its infrastructure.

You retain ownership of any content (photos, videos, text) you upload to Veridome. By uploading content, you grant Veridome a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to:

• Store, display, and transmit your content to other users as necessary to operate the service.
• Process your media through AI tools to generate job classifications and cost estimates.
• Use anonymised, aggregated job data to improve platform features and pricing models.

You represent and warrant that your content does not violate any third-party rights and complies with all applicable laws. Veridome reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms without notice.

You acknowledge that such content may be shared with relevant contractors for the purpose of providing quotes and completing services.

This may include processing your content through third-party AI systems to deliver platform features such as issue detection, recommendations, and cost estimation.

• Ratings and reviews must be based on genuine, first-hand experience with the service or contractor.
• Submitting fake, incentivised, or retaliatory reviews is prohibited.
• Veridome may remove reviews that violate these guidelines without notice.
• Contractors must not solicit homeowners to revise or remove negative reviews.
• Ratings directly influence a contractor's visibility and ranking in search results.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

• We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
• We do not endorse, guarantee, or verify the credentials, licences, or quality of any contractor listed on the Platform.
• AI-generated estimates, classifications, and recommendations are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice.
• YouTube tutorial videos linked from the Platform are provided by third parties. Veridome is not responsible for their content or accuracy.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Veridome AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
• Damages resulting from contractor performance, workmanship, or conduct.
• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated estimates or recommendations.
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data by third parties.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO Veridome IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time:

• By You — Delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting support@veridome.app.
• By Veridome — We may suspend or permanently terminate your account, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law.

Upon termination: your access to the Platform will cease; and we may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

Between Users: Veridome is not a party to disputes between homeowners and contractors. We encourage users to resolve disputes directly. We may offer a mediation pathway at our discretion but are not obligated to do so.

Against Veridome: Before filing any legal action, you agree to contact us at support@veridome.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. If informal resolution fails, all claims shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules, not in court — except that either party may bring small claims court actions.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For matters not subject to arbitration, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Delaware.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes:

• We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
• We will notify you via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before changes take effect.
• For changes that materially reduce your rights, we will seek your affirmative consent before applying them to your account.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those Terms.
